The Slumdog fever is obvious. Rahman was long due for an Oscar. Happy to see 3 Indians win 4 awards. Rahman (Original Soundtrack and Song), Gulzar (Song, Lyrics) and Resul (Sound Mixing). Also, 'Smile Pinky', based on a girl, Pinky Kumari in Mirzapur, won Best Documentary-Short. She was there at the event. 'The Final Inch', another docu shot in India, was one of the nominees in the same category. I was particularly excited after hearing so many Indians' names at the event. Danny Boyle and other winners thanked a lot of their assistants in their acceptance speeches. I personally know some of the cast and crew of the film, infact, one of the actors was my roommate for 2 years, so, I can understand how excited they must be after their film has been received so well.
