This does not resemble any Aloo Gobi I have had here or on the subcontinent. This is generally just cumin, mustard seed and curry. No chili powder which makes this tasted a little confused, am I eating a dish from the far-east or from the southwest. Generally this dish uses fresh green chilies to provide heat. It also generally contains fresh Ginger.
This was NOT a bad recipe and I see most people seem to enjoy it, it just wasn't what I would call Aloo Gobi.
