Kids are never to young to learn! Pasta making, meatballs, cookies, breads, all great fun learning expierences for kids, and they love to eat and share what they have made.
Andrew 10 y/o and Tiffiny almost 8 y/o love to put on an apron and help from the very beginning, we read the recipe, take out the ingredients, have them measure everything. Good to go. They love it. They really enjoy making flavoured pasta and running the roller machine making long strips of dough to place through the cutter, then they hang it on the wooden rack to dry.
We make the sauce together using garden fresh tomatoes, garlic, onions, and basil. They pick them all in our garden. Sometimes we also make meat balls, or grill chicken to serve with the pasta.
Tiffiny loves salads so out to the garden with sissors and a basket she gathers her salad ingredients always snipping naturiums and borage flowers to adorn her creation. She always puts avocadoes in a salad as she loves them.
