Author of the First Timer’s series of how-to-cook books. He holds business degrees and certificates in Culinary arts, Hospitality & Tourism management, Business, Accounting and Professional sales. He has worked in most aspects of the foodservice industry as a chef, Trainer, Teacher and Manager for restaurants, arenas and hotels for over 15 years. He is a member of The American Culinary Federation, The International Foodservice Service Executives Association and holds various certifications through these and other groups. Shawn teaches groups and individuals to cook, both professionally as a former Chef Instructor for The International Culinary Schools at the Art Institute and for private classes held at the Orson Gygi Culinary Institute. Shawn currently owns and operates a foodservice consulting firm that specializes in deveolping foodservice concepts and fixing struggling operations.
