Executive Chef & owner of Bella Restaurant and Banquet in RI. It has been over a decade since Chef Giovan discovered his culinary identity. Having been raised in his father's former fine dining restaurants ( in RI ) “The Blue Grotto”, “Gustaves” and “GIOs”; Chef Giovan's passion for the restaurant business, and natural ability as a Chef was revealed to him. In 1998 Giovan, along with his father Giuseppe Calapai, established their family owned restaurant, Bella. Chef Giovan's Menus feature a colaboration of flavors from the many Regions of Italy, Sicilian being the most evident,showing a respect for his Sicilian heritage. Ultimately, the satisfaction of his patrons is his inspiration. Chef Giovan, along with his exceptional culinary team, create extraordinary seasonal menus; which incorporate the ever changing flavors and styles of the culinary world into new and exciting dishes for his patrons to look forward to!
