Halloween is around the corner and I bet there are a lot of home chefs and pros who are trying their hand at some new fall dessert or dish this time around. And what is a better ingredient that goes with the fall season than pumpkin?!

So here is a recipe contest you can relish and really put your creativity into! The contest called ‘Your Best Pumpkin Recipe Contest’ began on 1st October, 2009, and closes on 31st October, 2009 at 11:59 p.m., C.T; which will be the deadline for submitting the recipe entries too. If you have whipped up or already created a pumpkin recipe that you think defines the fall season’s taste, go ahead and give it a shot!

Multiple entries are welcome here so it’s a double bonus for all you guys as it also multiplies the chances of winning. The individual dishes must be unique and though. All recipes also need to be 100%.

The pro chefs here should keep it mind that the entries will become the property of Meredith Corporation, 1716 Locust St., Des Moines, IA; the official sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.

The judging will begin on or about 13th November, 2009 and all eligible entries received will be marked, based equally on creativity and practicality. 5 recipes in all will be chosen which will be then judged on taste (40%), creative appeal of prepared dish (30%), ease of preparation and practicality of preparation (30%).
