iFood.TV Shows - Average Betty, Food Wishes, and Art of the Drink - Get Nominations for Tasty Awards
iFood.tv is proud to announce that three iFood.tv Featured Shows - Average Betty, Food Wishes, and Art of the Drink, have been nominated for the 2011 Tasty Awards. The Tasty Awards is a premier broadcast awards show that celebrates and recognizes the year's best achievements in food, fashion, and home lifestyle programs on Television, in Film, and Online. Art of the Drink has been nominated for Best Drink or Beverage Program: Web, while both Average Betty and Food Wishes have received multiple nominations. All three series are Featured Shows on iFood.tv.
Average Betty, created in August 2006, is a short-format online video series created and performed by Sara O’Donnell. The show, a blend of food and campy sketch-comedy, focuses on quick and easy recipes made with accessible ingredients and equipment. Recipes and episodes are also available on the Average Betty website.
Art of the Drink is a web video series which focuses exclusively on bartending. Each episode features step-by-step instructions on how to prepare a new cocktail, giving users an exclusive look at drinks from a bartender’s point of view. The series is hosted by Anthony Caporale, a professional Bar Instructor and Bar Chef who is the current Beverage Manager at Bobby Flay's flagship restaurant, Mesa Grill, and a Guest Instructor at New York City's prestigious Institute of Culinary Education.
Food Wishes is one of the most popular shows on ifood.tv that focuses on video recipes. These short, easy-to-follow recipes offer a unique blend of culinary instruction offered in an engaging, entertaining, and humor-filled format that's helped Chef John earn the reputation as the Internet's leading cooking teacher. Unlike almost all other video recipe resources online, this award-winning show focuses on the food – not the chef.

Tasty Award winners are selected by a Panel of Industry Judges as well as Viewers Choice Voting which closes on January 5, 2011. Winners will be announced on January 13, 2011 at a Red Carpet Awards Show at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood. Awards will be presented by some of the most exciting names in food and fashion media and industry, including Food Network host Zane Lamprey, Emmy winner PBS star Leslie Sbrocco, celebrity Chef Tanya Holland and Top Chef All Star Fabio Viviani.
Portions of the show will be broadcast on national television to millions of households, as well as partner sites.
