White House Wines - What White House Is Pouring This Christmas
White House Wines - What White House Is Pouring This Christmas? Would you like to know? Of course, you would. Who wouldn't want to know about the White House wines for Christmas. The Obamas are my favorite family to be doing the whole 'fan following' thing. I've never been fascinated by any First Family other than the Obamas. They are always buzzing and seem to keep it that way. Now, I'm going to dig up what are the White House wines this Christmas. Let's keep 'em flowing!
White House wines for Christmas... hmm.. what could it be? Katie McCormick Lelyveld, Michelle Obama’s press secretary, was asked the same question. She tried her best to be politically correct about her answer saying that the First Couple will be drinking only at the private dinners. Of course, they do not want to sent the wrong kind of example for the rest of America, do they? However, Ms. McCormick Lelyveld did mention that the White House wines are all commercially available. But it seems that the Obamas have a preference towards Kendall Jackson Vinters Reserve Chardonnay.
The best part about this year's White House wines for Christmas is that the First Family decided to be completely democratic about its selection. That's cool. Ms. McCormick Lelyveld said that, the White House chefs, military musicians and administrative staff all participated in their selection and decided what gets poured this Christmas season. It also seems that the wines are going to be coming from two specific wineries; Landmark Vineyards and Pride Mountain winery. These two were apparently chosen because both have great stories of women being behind these wineries. Impressive!
I would love to be at the White House for Christmas to sip on some wine, but then, if only wishes were horses, I would be riding on one. Merry Christmas folks!
