Turkey burgers -

Do not be surprised! Burgers can make healthy options, but most often we do not know how to lighten these up and have for dinner. You can prepare ground turkey burgers which are much lower in fat and calories as compared to others which are available. If crumbled feta cheese is mixed into the turkey meat along with various seasonings, it shall help to add moisture and flavors to the burgers. You have to be generous with the seasoning, since turkey is slightly bland. Add grilled onions, veggies and wheat pita pockets so that calorie count is reduced. If you add different vegetables and whole grains in burgers you will be able to create healthy dinner menu while retaining the loved burger feel.
 

Vegetable burgers

Those who are veggies and do not prefer to have turkey, can have interesting vegetable burgers for dinner. These are considered to be a great alternative to beef burgers or other frozen foods which are used in the making of burgers. You just need to make some very simple alterations to your basic pizza recipe and enjoy it as your dinner.You will just have to add veggies and healthy meats as the fillings of your pizza. Remember that to have a healthy pizza, you need to have a prebaked whole wheat pizza crust. You can have sliced cooked chicken breast, some fresh spinach, ripe olives, sliced Roma tomatoes and also mushrooms. Sprinkle a generous quantity of feta cheese and dried oregano on your pizza for some added taste. Do not forget to drizzle with little olive oil before you choose to bake it.

 

Chili –

Can anything be as sumptuous as a steaming bowl of chili? Have it on a very cold winter for dinner. If you wish to lighten up the menu, you will have to add little of chili to your chicken recipe. Use cubed breast meat or ground chicken in the recipe. This chicken tastes the best when it is sautéed with chopped onions and cooked in chicken broth with green chili, some cumin, oregano and also garlic powder.
