Apple cider vinegar is full of useful properties which if known properly can be put to good use in our day-to-day lives for various purposes. Though it has therapeutic benefits, is used in cooking, but there are several external uses of apple cider vinegar which are equally worth knowing.

Raw apple cider vinegar is full of antibacterial properties because of the presence of enzymes and potassium in it.

Most of apple cider vinegar’s therapeutic uses have been passed on from word of mouth but still despite being no substantial proof for their effectiveness, people have been known to benefit from it.

The external uses of apple cider vinegar are many which I’m listing below for your benefit.

  • Apple cider vinegar is known to be a cure for nail fungus. This is one of the external uses of apple cider vinegar which is known to have benefitted people get rid of this condition. Soaking your feet in a mix of water and vinegar for few minutes every day is advisable for curing this problem.
  • Apple cider vinegar can also be used effectively to cure pubic lice. This is another external uses of apple cider vinegar. This embarrassing problem can be treated effectively by using vinegar. After shampooing the area with a lice treatment, use a rag soaked with apple cider vinegar to rub down over the hair. The acidic properties of the vinegar help in loosening the hold of the nits on the hair, making it easy to remove them. If you have short hair, then soak them in vinegar and comb out the nits.
  • Make use of apple cider vinegar to relieve the itching caused by poison ivy, eczema, sunburns. This is one of the external uses of apple cider vinegar which might come in handy as an immediate relief. Mix lukewarm water and vinegar and soak yourself for 15-20 minutes and towel dry yourself.   • Pour two cups of apple cider vinegar in a bath full of hot water for detoxing your body. Soak yourself in it for 30 minutes and dry with a towel afterwards.
