According to a recent study, a controlled diet along with a glass of vegetable juice can help you loose up to 2 kgs over 12 weeks. Sure it is a little slow but it is a natural way.
A study, conducted by Baylor College of Medicine, found that participants who drank at least eight ounces of low sodium vegetable juice as part of a calorie-controlled diet lost nearly two kg over 12 weeks. In contrast, those who followed the same diet without the vegetable juice lost less than half a kg.
An estimated 47 million Americans are either overweight or obese and are exposed to a variety of risk factors like heart disease, stroke or diabetes arising from it.
Researchers say that the maximum benefit will be to the obese with metabolic syndrome, which is defined by a number of risk factors including excess body fat in the midsection, high blood pressure (BP), high blood sugar and abnormal blood lipids.
Vegetable juice has long held the stamp of approval for health benefits. In India, people often drink mixed vegetable juice on a regular basis. This veggie fact just got proved!
