Not a single challenger has been able to overcome the 150-Ounce steak challenge put up by the Duck Inn pub in the UK. The pub, located in Redditch, Worcestershire, thought up this challenge when it started getting too many requests for larger steaks.

Since the challenge was introduced last year, not even one challenger has been able to finish off the full meal, comprising of the 150-Ounce steak plus chips and onion rings in an hour. And this is no mean steak we are talking about. It is a 12 inches long and 12 inches wide rump steak, which is four inches thick and has been cooked medium rare over two hours. The meal comes at a hefty $177 a piece.

As is obvious, there have been a variety of reactions to this challenge, many of which have been less-than-graceful. The pub owners say that some challengers go really pale while others take a walk around the room to get the food down before throwing in the towel.

So far, the pub offers all sorts of large size steaks to steak enthusiasts – 80, 90, 100 and 120 ounces. But the 150-Ounce seems to be elusive to any champions despite the fact that this is not the world’s largest steak on offer in a steakhouse. That honor belongs to the 205 ounce ‘Big Kahuna’ steak served at the AJ’s Steakhouse in Grinnell, Iowa in the US.
