Holiday Pie 2  - Baked Apple Tart

A lovely tart or sweet pie, it comes from the kitchen of Dalloyau, which is a group of tres luxe French pâtisseries. It is much more than a simple apple tart. The perfect  and elegant ending to your party this baked apple tart has a layer of yummy caramelized apples resting on a layer of nutty almond cream slightly flavored with apple brandy and then decorated with crunch grated apple on top. The combination of the crunchy base and the delectable cream and apple layers makes this pie simply irresistible! Create a miracle on your table by combining this baked apple tart with a small serving of crème fraîche or vanilla crème anglaise. Even a scoop of vanilla ice cream can do the trick.

Holiday Pie 3 - Sweet Potato Pie

This Sweet Potato Pie from John Shields’ kitchen has hit the news for more reasons than one and we will tell you why this pie is so popular and is one of the best holiday pies. This custard-style pie is a presidential favorite which though similar to the pumpkin pie, differs from it as it uses spices like cinnamon, ground ginger and ground mace retains. This helps the pie retain a rustic, full bodied flavor because of the use of sweet potatoes. Try this filling  and addictive pie.

Holiday Pie 4 - Pear and Goat Cheese Tart

An exquisite pie which brings together the flavors of ripe pears and goat cheese, the Pear and Goat Cheese tart is a delight to have. The texture is made even more impressive by adding pine nuts and this improvisation was added by Peggy Smith, the co-owner of Cowgirl Creamery in California.

Holiday Pie 5 - Banana Cream Pie

Not any Banana Cream Pie, but Pichet Ong’s Banana Cream pie. The creamy, custardy banana cream filling hides in it surprisingly delectable pieces of candied ginger and the appeasing flavors of sweet milk chocolate. The thin layer of milk chocolate lining on the crust adds another dimension to the flavors. You could also garnish it with milk chocolate or chocolate shavings.

Holiday Pie 6 - Chocolate Chiffon Pie

The Chocolate chiffon pie can make your day. I am not exaggerating! The mousse like chocolate filling of this pie and the crumby pie crust made from graham crackers brings out a wonderful contrast in texture that you will love. Garnish with chocolate shavings and this sinful pie is ready to be gobbled down.

Holiday Pie 7 - Key Lime Pie

The Key Lime Pie recipe which is created by Chef Bob Sloan is simply brilliant. Tart and then sweet, the key lime pie is a bundle of contradictory flavors that is topped with fresh whipped cream. Trust me, you will love this key lime pie, especially because it can be put together quiet easily and it can be served as a perfect ending for a dinner. You can also use fresh limes or lime juice in place of key limes.

Holiday Pie 8 - Pumpkin Whoopie Pies with Cream Cheese Filling

From the kitchen of Matt Lewis and Renato Poliafito comes this excellent creation. Though not a traditional pie, this delicious dessert with a soft and spicy, pumpkin-flavored cookie with chilled cream cheese filling is irresistible.

A classic pie made irresistible by Christopher Idone! There are very few who don’t get tempted by the sight of this filling and tempting pie which has a herbed mixture of cubed lamb meat and mashed potatoes! Serve this delicious pie with Plum Ketchup.
