The one thing on my mothers’ mind is the lack of healthy supermarket foods, especially since she is a nutritionist and very particular about healthy foods. But with newer, processed, ready to eat goodies; from chips to pizzas, cereals and drinks, can there ever be any place solely as a healthy supermarket foods haven? Well, as ironical as it may seem, if you just slow down and think it through, out of the few million things that lay in the first hundred rows does offer healthy foods.   10. Go slow on those desserts and think before you buy the slurp up chocolate mousse. Instead go for low fat cream and fruits, jellies and jams.

  1. Be slow, systematic and snoopy. Check out all you can. Look deeper till you are satisfied. You don’t have to pay to browse!
  2. List it out. Always, always go with a prepared list. Aimless wandering with lead to you buying foodstuff you don’t need.
  3. Sniff it…well, not literally. Check the expiry date always. Any of the healthy foods can turn poison if not within the expiry time limit.
  4. Go Green! Try and choose organic foods over other kinds.
