Top 10 Foods Containing Sugar
Sugar might be something that you avoid most of the time but on some occasions like when you are extremely exhausted and need energy or when you need to raise your blood sugar due to a medical condition you really need to know which food contains sugar. This "top 10 food containing sugar" list is what you can resort to during emergencies or even when you need to watch your diet.
- Candies and cookies -Eating candies like jellybeans or candy bars and cookies are just like eating pure glucose.
- Baked Potatoes - Baked potatoes will help you increase your blood sugar. Remember this is not the same case with other vegetables.
- Cereals - Corn flakes and cereals, especially the sugared ones can also increase your blood sugar rapidly.
- Breads and Pastries– If you are picking up bread, the white bread and dark rye bread are the perfect choice. Of course pastries will also help. It is the white flour that is mostly responsible for the sugar rise.
- Rice - Rice especially white rice like jasmine rice is a good choice.
- Glucose: Of course there is always the simple and direct intake of glucose. An unbeatable source of sugar and energy, glucose is often recommended by medical doctors especially for athletes.
- Fruits and Fruit Juices– Good Sugar can also be found in and watermelons. The other fruits you can resort to are apples, oranges, strawberries, plums, pears, or other melons. Fruit juices contain a lot of sugar in them.
- Soda/Carbonated Drinks – Of course they are not the best thing to add to your daily diet but once in a while when you need to have something that increases your sugar content then you can get your hands on one of those soda or carbonated drinks.
- Ice Cream, Desserts and Jell-O – No you are not in a dream or at Charlie’s Chocolate Factory..what did you expect? I don’t think I will wait to get exhausted or get into a situation when I need sugar to have these. If you are watching your diet be careful but otherwise desserts, ice cream and Jell-O are of course a sure bet.
