Algerian Flafla (Bell Pepper Salad): Essentially a bell pepper salad, this snack item is prepared by roasting green bell peppers until they become soft and tender. The bell peppers are roasted using garlic, olive oil, onions and diced tomatoes. The salad tastes best when eaten with crunchy bread or a baguette.
 
Kofta kebab: These are grounded lamb meat balls similar to the US hamburger, and are seasoned with different spices and herbs such as mint, or parsley. The meat balls are usually oval in shape  which are put on skewers and grilled. They are served with rice or salad and chutney as a starter.
 
Haleem:  This is a popular snack item in the Persian and Pakistani cuisine and is a popular addition in all the festivities such as parties, celebrations, weddings.  The method of preparation varies from one country to another or one community to another, but the main ingredients such as meat, wheat flour and lentils remain common.  
 
Beef Samosas : Samosa is traditionally a vegetarian snack with a usual filling of boiled, spicy potatoes, but a number of meat versions are also popular. Beef samosas are prepared using grounded beef which is mixed with boiled and crushed potatoes and then used as a filling in the phyllo dough and deep fried.
 
Harira: This is a traditional Moroccan soup which is prepared using chickpeas, lentils, tomatoes, meat or beef and herbs like parsley.  Black pepper, salt, lemon juice may be added as garnish. It is usually served with hard boiled eggs which may be sprinkled with grounded cumin seeds and salt or some dried herbs.
 
Shami Kebab: Also spelled as Shammi Kebab, this is a popular snack item in the Pakistani cuisine. Shami kebab is essentially a small sized patty which has a filling of minced meat, crushed chick peas and assortment of spices. The kebabs are served garnished with onions and lemon wedges and are eaten with chutney.
 
Pakistani Spicy Chickpeas: Also known as chana masala, this is a popular snack item in the Pakistani and Indian cuisine. It is prepared using chickpeas which are soaked overnight, boiled and then allowed to dry slightly. Oil is heated in a pan and chopped tomatoes, dry mango powder, diced onions, coriander leaves, green pepper, and chilli powder, salt, ginger are added and mixed well with the chickpeas.
 
Chicken Tikka: Another popular snack item, this is prepared in clay ovens. Small cubes of boneless chicken are marinated in spice rub and yogurt and then put on a skewer. The skewers are then lowered into the clay ovens known as ‘tandoor’ and the chicken pieces are baked. Lemon and onions are usually added as a garnish and chutney is served as a dip sauce.
 
Chicken nuggets: Chicken nuggets are prepared using chicken breasts and bread crumbs. Chicken breasts are cut into small chunks and all the bones and fats are removed. They are served with salads, chips or some dip sauce.
 
Chicken rolls: Chicken rolls are a popular dish item in the Pakistani cuisine. The stuffing used is barbecue chicken and the popular dressing that is usually used is the Cole slaw dressing as the Cole slaw dressing brings out the flavor of the chicken.
