Baking Tips1) Always preheat the oven for 15-20 minutes before putting the cake in.

 2) Butter used in baking recipes should be soft not melted.

 3) When making wheat flour cookies use butter for crunchy and oil for softer cookies.

4)When measuring oil and eggs with the same cup.. measure the egg first, it coats the cup which helps the oil to slide out.

5)Coating dry nuts with flour before using in a recipe will prevent them from falling to the bottom.

 6) Always bake on the middle shef of the oven, heat circulates more evenly.

7)Never substitute granulated sugar for powdered. Granulated is for baking, powdered is for frosting and glazing.

 8) Never use low fat margarine for baking. Cakes will collapse and cookies may flatten. Never use margarine for butter in any recipe.
