I’ve observed that many a time when I see food being served on TV, I feel hungry even though I’ve had a filling meal a little while ago! Now what can be the reason for that? Obviously, the very sight of good food can make you feel hungry, even though your body does not need any food! The food marketers and advertisers are cashing in on this very weakness of ours! There are more hunger facts, like this that tell why we eat beyond our body requirements and ultimately gain weight!

Apart from sight, the smell and taste of food can also trigger hunger in you, even if your stomach is not really asking for food! How many times have you resisted the delicious aroma of your favorite pastries while passing by a bakery?

Here’s another example! I usually break a small chunk of chocolate from a big bar stored in my refrigerator and think that I’ll not have more. But that proves to be a Herculean task for me.
