The. Best. Wine bar. In New York. By far! We loved this place. I’m not usually a wine bar type guy, but my good friend drags me around to them sometime because she loves them. It was time to pay my dues again and she suggested this place. I though it was going to be awful, especially given the whoel chocolate factor – super cheesy and girly right? But no. The palce is sleek and hip and really really cool. I love the steel and wood design and they were playing great music. We had this hummus that was really great and some olives, though those left a little to be desired. For dinner I had the filet which was amazing and my friend had some salad that she also loved. The manager came by and recommended a bottle of wine. I do’t know too much about wine, but I ended up having to find out what it was because it was just that good. Everyone was really nice and the service was pretty good, except that it took the waitress a long time to bring over our dessert menus and we sat for a while without water. But we were cool with it because it was such a great place. There was a patio outside but it was full when we go tthere and we decided to just sit inside rather than wait. Probably for the best since it was such a hot day, but I could def. sit out there with a beer one of these days. It definitely changed my impression of wine bars. And let me just say with my friend I have been to my share. This is one of the best. The food is great and the people are rad as well. I will definitely be heading back here some time soon, if only to get that wine again!
