All the athletes and team official participating in the Commonwealth Games Delhi 2010 are in for delightful treat in commonwealth village. The enormous dining arrangements for CWG Delhi 2010 are perhaps one of the best offerings of the events. With a variety of cuisines and dishes, the huge dining arrangements are definitely matching up with the standard of the games.                                              

They are planning to serve 36,000 meals to almost 7000 players during the event. The huge dining area is designed to serve 2,300 people at one time. All this will happen with the help of a huge workforce that includes 2,500 workers. They actually have 250 chefs working round the clock in order to keep the athletes and team official’s stomach’s full all the time. There will be an enormous option for all the Athletes and officials to choose from six different cuisines that include American, Asian, African, Oceanian, Indian and Continental. Also, the final menu has almost 120 dishes, which will be changed after every sixth day.                                                                                                  

The catering facilities at the Games Village, New Delhi are directed by Delaware North, as US-based catering company. The central dining area will be offering various meal services 24*7 for free especially for all the team officials, athletes and other participants.                                                                                        

With a view to meet the cultural, religious and nutritional needs of the team officials, athletes and other participants, the menu has been especially designed to serve various dishes from the six different country zones of Commonwealth.                                                                                                                            

The interior of the dining area is also exhibited pretty well. There are some especial stalls set up in the central area of the main dining area. These especial stalls will serve authentic Indian street foods such as gol gappas, papri chat and bhel puri. Also, there will be some stalls entirely devoted to the casual dishes and recipes from other countries. The participants can also chill out at the exclusive bar especially made inside the games village. The bar will serve liquor and a wide range of wines for team officials and players.
