Thanksgiving – time to celebrate

27-Nov-2008 by foodwithme

Thanksgiving is here…it is that time of the year when you want to get out your best recipes, pots and pans and put up a great spread. Thanksgiving is all about getting together and celebrating the good times with family. People who mean the world to you and of course a table laid down beautifully with a spread fit for a king.

Coming to the traditions of Thanksgiving....it is a harvest festival. The traditions ensure that you express your gratitude for the harvest and everything else. It is celebrated on the Fourth Thursday of November (in the United States). A time to put together a great dinner and enjoy with family. Traditions sure help to keep alive the bonds and foster connecting with people.

Here’s your chance to put on that apron and put your best foot forward. Treat your family to a spectacular meal. Bring out the turkey, the baking dishes and get together a mouthwatering baked turkey, pies, cupcakes, breads and yummy goodies that would make your family feel special indeed.

The thing about cooking a great Thanksgiving dinner is all about timing. With so many dishes to cook and having everything ready and being ready to receive everyone….you surely need to be well-organized. Making all preparations in advance and getting everything ready down to the last detail is really important. A little effort is all you need to see that glowing smile on your family’s face. At the end of it all, the effort is truly worth it. Happy Thanksgiving!!!
