Spacebuster – Dining in a Bubble

22-Apr-2009 by ifoodiee
The dining experience is evolving every day. When terrifying dining experiences in restaurants hanging hundreds of feet above the ground is being talked about, the idea of having dinner in a bubble does not come as a surprise. Rather, dining in Spacebuster, a transparent bubble would be a refreshing and novel experience.

The dining in a bubble experience was open to all in New York on the 19th of this month. This pop up structure, a giant transparent bubble is sometimes a restaurant and other times a venue for exhibitions, dances, seminars, communal cooking and so on. The versatile structure can be put up anywhere at anytime The bubble is a perfect venue for communal gathering.

The dining event was held at the courtyard of an American can factory and the menu was established at a fixed price of $27! I guess dining with an iridescent bubble made even brighter with shining lights, a flashy DJ and entertainers is worth it. Seeong the site gives you the feeling of going to the new fair that has to come to town.

For all those who missed the dining in the bubble experience, though you might not be able to dine in it you can check out the Spacebuster as it makes its tour from Manhattan to Brooklyn. During this tour the Spacebuster will be hosting community events for 10 consecutive evenings, but for dinner you will have to wait till the next time!
