How To Soak An Apple In Vodka
Soak an apple in vodka for a good drink at home. With apples being available through the year, you can soak an apple in vodka during any part of the year. This makes an excellent gift too. Soaking an apple in vodka adds variety to your drinks in the house. Even tropical fruits can be soaked in vodka.
There are certain precautions to be adopted to soak apple in vodka. Dressing up vodka requires a proper selection. Good, premium quality vodkas have a great taste, and therefore any additional dressing may not be required. Vodka of lesser quality can taste bad even after dressing. The best bet is to choose vodka that is in between premium and low quality ones.
To soak apple in vodka, choose a bottle with a lid, preferably a glass one. Take an apple. Remove seeds and cores of the apple. For soaking an apple in vodka do not peel the skin of the fruit.
Place these thinly sliced apples in the container. Now, pour vodka into the glass container. The vodka should cover the apple slices in the container.
Now cover place the lid on the glass container and store in a cool and dry place.
Stir the apples and vodka once in every few days. Do not remove the lid to stir, but just shake the glass container. Allow it to steep for about a month.
Now, pour out the vodka through a strainer to ensure no apple pieces remain in the drink. Store the vodka in a good liquor bottle.
