Sarah Palin, voted as one of the ‘Top 10 Most Fascinating people’ in America, is known to have a penchant for putting her foot in her mouth. But what about the foods that pass her lips while on a campaign trail? This gutsy lady was heard saying that she loved eating the moose stew that she had hunted herself. Amidst much controversy, the GOP candidate was also heard remarking that ‘we eat, therefore we hunt’

What Palin Did?

Palin toured the East Coast on the first day of the month, stopping off to meet with Donald Trump at the famed Times Square. It was destined to be a meeting of minds for the tea party colleagues but the innocuous piece of pizza stole the thunder.  The media baron as well as the ex-governor of Alaska were seen digging into the pizza, oh-so-daintily with their fork ends.

The Reaction

“It is not American”, screamed an individual while the others looked on aghast as the news made rounds and hit homes across the United States of America courtesy their television sets. An exterminator from Bronx, Darrell Carter was horrified but concluded that Palin obviously knew no better.  It could only be Sarah who can get away with eating the pizza with a fork.  The New York Times quoted Carter gleefully and the nation was soon abuzz discussing the new and civilized way of popping that wedge of a pepperoni pizza into your mouth. 

The Big Apple had been the witness to many strange things before, but the sight of Ms. Palin biting into just a tiny itsy-bitsy bit of pizza that could be accommodated on the top of her fork, has the nation still reeling from shock.

A 38-year-old lady from midtown could not put the image out of her mind it seems; so surprised had she been by the turn of events. The food and the discussion have taken a backseat for now as the residents of NYC are busy discussing how not to eat a pizza.

Well, others may be more concerned with her revolutionary ideas and political views but the New Yorkers are just itching to show her how to grab the pizza, fold it longitudinally and pop it into the mouth!  Are you listening, Sarah?
