Reba McEntire, the American country singer and actress has donated an undisclosed amount of money to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. However, we suspect a big figure here.
    

The 56 year old Oklahoma native wrote out the cheque after coming to know about the nonprofit organization’s Food for Kids program in Kiowa. Incidentally, Kiowa is where she did her schooling.

       
Even though we could only guesstimate her donation amount, News OK states that her donation will be able to provide more than 200,000 meals or feed 2,300 families for a week. The Regional Food Bank feeds more than 46,000 children every week through partner agencies and its Food for Kids childhood hunger programs: the Backpack Program, Kids Cafe and School Pantries.

          
Rodney Bivens, the Regional Food Bank’s executive director, told News OK, "We are thankful for this generous donation from Reba McEntire. No child should ever have to go to bed with the pains of hunger in their stomach."
