My friend’s daughter is continuously putting on weight and when asked she said I just can’t stop eating. I was  surprised and asked her the reason to which she had no answers. I kept on thinking what can be the reasons behind overeating. How can a person be tempted to eat always? How can the reasons for overeating be avoided?

Well after a lot of research, I arrived at some of the factors makes you eat continuously.

If you eat more crisps and fries- Crisps and fries are the foods that are high in sugar. Consuming these foods makes us eat more food which is rich in sugar, fat and salt. So the ultimate solution to this is have control over eating. Say no to your temptations and eat as required.

Not planning in advance while shopping at superstore- One of the important reasons why you can’t stop overeating is that whenever you go to a nearby store you pick up every eatable you see. Nuggets, patties, burgers, roll; there is so much of food stuff that tempts you to pick more and is one of the reasons behind overeating. So the best way here is plan before you make a move towards the super store.

You like to eat at food courts- Food courts are one of the biggest reasons for overeating. People tend to eat more than their appetite at such places and gain extra calories by eating the junk. Therefore, food courts offering a variety of food stuff is also the reasons for why you can’t stop eating. The best remedy is to eat a portion in advance and go to such places. Do not indulge in food with extra cheese toppings, rather take vegetable toppings and drink lots of water.

Ease of access to refrigerator- When you are in the habit of opening the refrigerator and picking up some stuff to munch every now and then you have a reason to why you can’t stop eating. People tend to eat more by peeping in the refrigerator. So if you want to avoid these reasons of overeating, either remove all those foods that tempt you and replace them with healthy fruits and other stuff or restrict yourself from opening the refrigerator.

You chew less and swallow more- A very common reason to why you can’t stop eating is that the food is not chewed properly and the tummy does not feel full. If the food is chewed at least 24 times per bite, the food juices will get absorbed faster making you feel full.

Your work desk contains a food cabinet- One of the reasons why you can’t stop eating are the tempting fries, candies, chocolates that find a place in your food cabinet at work desk. After every hour or so, these foods attract us and become the reasons for overeating. The best idea is get rid of such stuff. Instead, keep some sprouts in an airtight bowl and whenever you feel hungry, munch on them.

These were some of the reasons that answered the question that why you can’t stop eating. Though, the perfect answer lies within you. Controlling your taste buds is the key to avoid the reasons for overeating.
