Re-gifted Christmas Gifts!!! Would You Be Annoyed???

Last evening Sarah gave me a reason to burst out laughing. She just hastily dropped in at my house after her work and opened up her woe of the day; “Babe, at office my colleague passed on a re-gifted birthday gift to me!!!”, with her face turning red and smoke fuming out of her ears. I found myself dumb, unable to react, but before she could even take leave, she had already filled me in with fear, “the fear of re-gifted Christmas Gifts”!

Although I haven’t made this blunder of re-gifting my gifts to someone, this is not the first incident I am hearing from experienced hands. Also, I haven’t received any, or have I been blindfolded of the fact, I don’t know. With the intensity of madness Sarah reacted the other day, I feel it was a little exaggerated.

Is re-gifting, something that is of good quality and new, which have not been used simply for the reason you didn’t like it or you already have something similar to it, be looked down upon?

I feel, if the gift closely abides by the criteria mentioned earlier, it isn’t a crime to re-gift such items. But otherwise, if one becomes so dam stupid to make it so obvious that the item is a re-gifted one, I have literally no words!

So tell me, would you be annoyed, if you get a re-gifted gift for this Christmas? If yes, how would you tackle it? Or have you already given or received re-gifted items. Let’s keep the discussion open!
