All exotic berries like strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, are known to be good weight loss aids. We suggest you begin your trial by having raspberry for weight loss.  Raspberry is low in calories but high in fats and vital nutrients. The raspberries fill you up without burdening you with calories or fats.

Raspberry and Weight Loss
Many of you don’t know that the little, fragile, exotic, and expensive raspberry belongs to the family of rose plant. But that doesn’t make it poorer with nutrients. The fruit is high in fibers: soluble and insoluble. The insoluble fibers increases the bowel transit time and soluble fibers add bulk to the food.  The raspberries are good source of vitamin C which further aids in weight loss. The vitamin C inherent in the fruit aids in development of a compound called L-carnitine. L- carnitine is responsible for inducing the abdominal fat because body stops using energy. The excess energy is converted to fat which is stored in muscles.  People who don’t have sufficient amount of vitamin C are known to be obese and their body is easily susceptible to several other health scares too.

Another advantage of having raspberry for weight loss is that they rarely alter the blood sugar levels. The raspberries rank 3 on glycemic index. The raspberries are known to be low in glycemic index. The foods that have low glycemic index help to stabilize the blood sugar levels and in turn help to curb the hunger and put tabs on overeating. According to Dr. Madel Blades- the foods low in glycemic index can actually make weight loss and management easier.

Also, the raspberries are loaded with flavonoids called Anthcyanins. The anthcyanins inhibit the growth of fungi and bacteria in intestine, which are known to destabilize the weight management of the body.
