Baisakhi is the one of the major festivals of Sikhs and celebrated with lot of enthusiasm .Baishakhi festival falls on the first day of vaishakh month(April-May)according to Nanakshahi or Sikh calendar. It is celebrated as a harvest festival by the large farming community and also celebrated as the Sikh new year and founding of the khalsa panth. Dancing is the one of the most prominent aspects of Baisakhi celibration. Most popular form of dance for the occasion is Bhangra & Gidda.
