Pune Wine Tasting Festival - A Review: With the Christmas and the New Year just around the corner, the celebrations and toasting have already been kicked off, especially in Pune. The Wine Tasting Festival, India, which was hosted on Saturday, 12th December 2010, was a huge success, setting off the perfect holiday mood and season.

The Wine Tasting Festival, India was organized by the Pune Gourmet Club, and many of the wine lovers from across the country thronged the city to participate in this event. In the event, more than 50 varieties of wine from as many as twelve foremost Indian wineries were on display. Apart from this, a variety of wines from across the world – Australian wine, Italian wines, French wines, etc - were also on display. This provided excellent opportunities to the visitors to taste a variety of wines, both national and international. The wines that were on display were truly the rare and exclusive ones and the great flavors that they offer left a distinct mark in every wine taster’s mind.

Not just that, the Wine Tasting Festival, India was also a fun and entertaining event. Every visitor was welcomed with a kit that contained a glass, a tasting card and a wine guide that made their wine tasting experience all the more rich. Other fun activities like grape stomping, etc were also arranged for. The event was a perfect blend of wine, food and glamour. Sea food, “shawarma” and other continental foods were also stalled throughout, to satisfy your soul and make your wine-tasting experience a complete one. Lots of people and lots of good food really made it a lifetime experience. Apart from showcasing the different varieties of wine, the event also emphasized on the positive effects of wine on our health and body.  

India’s first-ever wine tasting festival was organized in the year 2007 and ever since, its popularity is steadily increasing. This was the fourth wine tasting festival in India and was a huge success amongst the mass.
