Labor Day holiday is the day to honor the working class labors who helped shape our country and also celebrate the final few moments of summer joy. If you to join in the fun by hosting a Labor Day party but can’t think of a proper theme, then you have come to the right place for I am going to share

A Renaissance era Costume party is a great Labor day party themesome easy to organize yet popular Labor Day Party themes….

• Back to the past: The history holds a treasure trove of party theme ideas, and with the lack of respect given to labor during the bygone era, it becomes a twisted yet apt theme for Labor Day party. Begin by sending out invites written in Old English, you can also use old parchment paper to write the invites. Decorate the venue like an Emperor’s court with large candles, gargoyles, and oversized chairs. Serve wine and BBQ meat in old fashioned goblets, wooden or silver plates, and cutlery (you can use imitation ones if you like). You can also turn it into a costume party by requesting the guests to come in themed costumes. Arrange for a party clown dressed like a court jester. For party games, you can have your guest group up as Robin Hood (the messiah of peasants in feudal days) and feudal lords and have friendly duels or toothpick jousts between them.

• Honor our ancestors: Bring home to your guest the fact that this country was shaped with the sweat and hard work of thousands of laborers working in the mines, railway tracks, road work, etc. and the pioneering entrepreneurs. If planned well, this theme has great potentials. You can use punch cards (used by the mill workers in the olden days) to write your invites. If you wish, this too can be a costume party with people dressed as various laborers and entrepreneurs. The venue will obviously be outdoors. You can involve the guest in labor day games like “who is the pioneer” in which each guest will exhibit one of his talent (it can be anything – singing, painting, mimicry, etc.) or a quiz contest centered upon Labor Day trivia.

Backyard summer party is a great way to celebrate Labor Day• Summer Party: Labor Day is the last summer holiday before fall sets in, so why not enjoy these final few happy hours through a summer party. The possibilities of planning a summer party are endless, you can begin by sending out colorful invites in postcards with fresh summer blossoms, or beaches printed on the front. Utilize your lawn or backyard before it gets too cold; keep the setting natural and open. Food and drinks will obviously be centered around the BBQ grill and serve chilled beer or fruit punch to wash down the food. Don’t forget to play some feisty music; your guests will love the informal fun day at your place.

• Beach Party: Remember the fall is fast approaching and the beach will soon be out of bounds, so celebrate the Labor Day with a blast on the beach. With a beach theme, you have lots of options on your side; you can have blue as your theme color and plan your invites, venue décor, cutlery, and tableware around this color. The venue will of course be the nearest beach, pond, or lake and ask your guest to show up in informal beach wear. You can have plenty of beach games like beach volley, sea shell collection, treasure hunt, etc. Food – well, seafood will obviously be the main stay, you can centre the entire menu upon Hawaiian or Latino cuisine. Also, do not forget play some nice Latino or Hawaiian music.

enjoying a night out in under the stars is a nice way to end the summer Star Gazing: Nights will soon get too cold for comfort; hence why not group up late in the evening around a nice fire pit and engage in some star gazing! You can ask your guest to come for a sleep over and arrange blankets in your backyard or lawn around a bonfire. Serve easy to carry bite sized foods like burgers and sandwiches with rich desserts, which can be pre-prepared and carried outside easily. Wine and champagne work well for the cozy star gazing event. Stay up late enjoying the fire and the stars, telling stories, and singing summer songs.

These are just few Labor Day party themes that can potentially make your event the talk of the town. However, you might also choose many other party theme ideas like a pot luck party, Mexican fiesta, Labor Day Luau, and many more. But, whatever theme you choose, do not forget to relax and enjoy the party; good luck and happy Labor Day.
