You need to know about some popular drinks to avoid – practice caution when you choose to have them and do not have them in  large quantities and frequently.


Diet soda: It is good to stay away from artificial sweeteners like diet soda. Aspartame is present in diet soda which is often linked with migraine headaches. Research has also revealed that artificial sweeteners often lead to insulin release which causes blood sugar levels to dip. You should avoid diet soda as much as possible or  have it in moderation.


Coffee: Drinking coffee is now a popular trend which is popularized by the chain of coffee houses. Coffee which is often preferred with cream and sugar is loaded with calories.Whipped cream and ice cream is often added to enhance its taste which is further bad for health. All these are very high in calories and can lead to obesity related problems and other health issues.


Alcohol: Alcohol is full of empty calories. Alcohol drinkers often tend to have some extra bite of munchies and desserts to keep the mood of the drink. Alcohol leads to obesity and adversely effects health conditions. It is good to have moderate amount of alcohol such as red wine or else alcohol can also lead to severe conditions of coronary heart disease. In fact alcohol is also known to be an addiction and people face a lot of difficulty in coming out from such an addiction.


Calorie packed cocktails: Cocktails are loved by all and are usually an integral part of celebrations and festive moods. However, we hardly realize that cocktails are full of calories as they have sweeteners in large quantities. Often extra toppings in the form of ice-cream and whipped cream is Cocktails which are loaded with calories should be avoidedadded to these cocktails which makes them a real pleasure to drink, but are very harmful for health. These are loaded with calories which can spoil all your diet plans. You can have cocktails but have them in moderation or without the additional creamy layer which is often served.


There are some more popular drinks which need to be avoided as these are known to cause stomach bloating. Check out some of these drinks:
• Beer: Did you believe that a little beer is good for your health? Think again! Beer is said to be responsible for a bloated stomach, indigestion, stomach ache and also headache. It contains yeast and wheat remnants which is difficult to digest.
• Energy drinks: Do not get addicted to them and make them a habit. Contrary to the popular belief, these drinks are very high in sugar and soda. They will provide you energy but will also offer you discomfort in the form of gas, acidity and indigestion.
