Lot has been said about various weight loss foods like goji berries, acai berries, and noni berries. But some ingredients like plums have been avoided big time. Using the plum for weight loss can be a very profitable proposition because it doesn’t cost a bomb to buy them unlike some other weight loss ingredients. Also, the plums are loaded with antioxidants like blueberries and other exotic berries.  Nowadays health experts are suggesting plum as the part of weight loss diet. According to some estimates a cup of pitted plums can deliver you 2 grams of fiber and almost same amount of potassium as a banana.

The pie crust is prepared using the low calorie almond flour, salt, unsalted butter, and splenda, low fat cream and cold water. The filling is prepared using ripe plums, ground cardamom, and splenda, low fat cream and unsalted butter. The crust is baked in oven along with filing and served warm. The dessert can also be served cold to suit taste preferences.
  • Plum Kebabs: They can pass off as easy appetizers. The plums are cut into halves and their pits are removed.  The cardamom and splenda sugar mixture is rubbed over them and the plums are grilled over the traditional ovens. The kebabs can be served warm as a standalone dish or they can be partnered with equally sumptuous dips.
  • Plum Cardamom Ice Cream: This ice cream is created by combining ingredients like sliced fresh plums, coconut milk, splenda, egg yolks, vanilla pods, and low fat cream. The plums are allowed to juice in sugar mixture and then boiled. The milk is cooked with vanilla and cardamom seeds. Other ingredients are mixed accordingly and the mixture is chilled and served as an ice cream.
