Preparing a lunch sans peanut may not seem to be quite so simple at first. However, you are liable to mix and match a few other ingredients that prove to be healthy without compromising on the taste factor.  Check out  a few ideas given below and prepare a lunch menu that your picky kid is certain to like.
 

  • Carrot and Cucumber Salad

Peel and grate carrots and cucumbers into thin long strips and mix them well together. Season with coarse sea salt, a dash of lime juice, & honey and watch your kid go goggle eyed at the thought of eating orange and green colored noodles. Do not forget to add a few raisins after cleaning them thoroughly.
 

  • Jam Rolls

Every kid loves the sweet, sticky delight and your kid is not likely to be an exception either. Spread his favorite jam thickly on a tortilla bread and top it with a good amount of cream cheese before rolling it up. You are certain to come face to face with a happy child after he gets back from school.
 

  • Roasted Squash

Place a wedge of roasted butternut squash filled with orange and maple syrup and dust it properly with cinnamon powder. Another sticky treat that would make lunch a pleasurable affair for your child.
 

  • Hot Dogs

Let your imagination soar as you bake hot dogs with a breadstick inserted at one end. Add shredded cheese, mustard and homemade relish on top and wrap it up in paper to give your kid a feeling of the commercially available product.

 

  • Rice Krispy Balls

Melt some dark chocolate and add rice krispies to it, forming small balls together with some granulated sugar. A delicious dessert that would keep your kid hooked.
