peachesPeach carving is an easy job. Peaches look beautiful when carved into a rose. They are great for dressing up every dinner plate elegantly. They add to the appeal of a meal, even when simply served alone alongside the main dishes. Just a little practice and right technique will help you create beautiful peach roses.

Tools Needed for Carving Peach

  • Paring knife
  • Medium-sized peaches
  • Plate
  • Toothpick
  • Mint leaves

Simple  Ideas for Carving Peaches

  • Choose a ripe peach for carving. It should not be very soft, else it may fall apart upon cutting. The size of the peach must be equal to the size of your palm  so that you can make the rose garnish easily and efficiently.

  • Wash the peach with water in order to remove surface impurities.

  • Peel the skin of the peach with a sharp paring knife. Begin from the top of the peach and peel outwards. Peel all around the peach to make an unbroken strip, which is approximately one inch wide.

  • Lay it on the counter with the peel skin surface down. Pick one end of the peel and begin rolling to create layers that look like rose petals.

  • Put the rolled peel vertically over a serving plate. Spread it slightly as it settles. This will resemble a blooming rose. Roll the peel a bit tighly and secure it using a toothpick at the base of the flower.

  • Add two whole mint leaves around the peach rose to lend an impression of leaves. You may serve it as a centerpiece for any dish, or salad.

Tips for Carving Peaches Perfectly

While peeling, keep its tip facing away from you.

Rose garnishes may be created with different fruits and vegetables, such as carrots to tomatoes. However, a peach makes an easy start for beginners. So, go ahead and create this beautiful peach carving.
