Pasta Salad

The best thing about working with a pasta menu is that you can use your own imagination and experimentation in the kitchen and concoct something perfectly delicious. Think about the kinds of pasta you like, the various sauces you can work with like red, vodka, garlic and oil, marinara, or creaM. Keep some of your favorite veggies and meats on hand and you can get started towards a lip smacking pasta menu.  Here are some great ideas you can utilize.

Pasta Salad

Penne, rigatoni or farafelle work best with pasta salads. You can choose to make this in a creamy based dressing or you can opt to go light and simply pick a vinaigrette based dressing. Olives, shredded carrots, cabbage, beans, all go really well in a pasta salad.

Pasta Melba Dessert

Yes, you CAN use pasta for a dessert recipe as well. Even if the idea does sound a little bizarre to you, why not try it out of sheer curiosity. Macaroni is what is used for this sweet dish, raspberry jam, canned peaches and vanilla wafers as well, to create something unique and divine. Don't knock it till you've tried it.

Pasta Pearls and Olives

Acini di pepe is a petite, round, pasta, ideal for soups and salads. This salad can be served hot, cold, and even at room temperature. Try some unusual combinations of additions to make variations, such as baked broccoli with toasted almonds; sun-dried tomatoes, fresh arugula, olives, and feta cheese; spinach; or scallions and cheddar cheese.

Tuna Pasta

Tuna Pasta

This is a quick, simple weeknight meal and can be made in a jiffy whenever you are in a hurry. It incorporates some tuna which is a healthy meat so you don’t have to worry too much about the health factor either. This dish which is trouble-free tuna pasta is versatile and delicious. The ability to alter the quantities and ingredients in this recipe makes it a first-rate go-to meal for any occasion.

Penne pasta

Chicken Penne Alfredo

This dish can even be prepared by someone who has little experience in the kitchen. It barely requires work and tastes absolutely divine. You would think that the taste quality would suffer because of the limited time this dish takes but that is definitely not the case with this dish. Simple and quick doesn't mean insipid and boring. It just means you know what you're doing around the kitchen.

Pasta all'Amatriciana

A traditional dish of the Roman cuisine, this rich and savory pasta sauce recipe made with Guanciale (dried pork cheeks), tomato sauce and Pecorino cheese was created centuries ago in Amatrice, a little town on a mountain region, pretty close to Rome.  This centuries old recipe requires Spaghetti or Bucatini pasta, a thick, holed type of spaghetti, but even Rigatoni or Penne can be used.

As you can see, some of these dishes can be prepared in a jiffy and some will take a little more time in the kitchen. Depending on your skills, taste and personal preferences you can experiment with this dishes and make an ideal pasta menu for yourself.
