Pancake Skyscraper: What a Mouthful!!
This is surely an eye full for pancake lovers… though some may say it is a waste of food.
Two chefs from Glasgow's Hilton Grosvenor hotel, Sean McGinlay and Natalie King made a record breaking pancake stack that measured in at 29.5 inches (75cm), allegedly beating the current world title by 0.4 inches.
This is a recent feat that took place on 23 February 09’. About a 100 eggs, more than 17 pints of milk, 11lbs of flour and 6.6lbs of butter went into the making of this pancake tower.
According to Guinness World Records, the current official record for the pancake tower stands at 29.1in (74cm) and was built achieved in Slovenia in August 2008.
The stack consisting of 672-pancakes took 22 hours to build and was a bit wobbly towards the end and here is how it went down…!!

Do you wish you were there to plate it up? …..Err, I mean clean it up?!
