Pakistani dishes are well known for their richness and flavor, mainly with fresh crushed spices. Here are some authentic Pakistani food items.

 

 

 

Starters in Pakistani menu:

·         Yakhni soup- delicious Pakistani delicacy consisting of mutton/chicken, oriental herbs and spices.

·         Mulligatawny soup- a typical curry soup, prepared from onion, garlic, ginger, spices and herbs.

 

Pakistani Lunch/Dinner Ideas:

·         Seekh Kabab-Terrific appetizer prepared of marinated minced meat (as per choice), grilled in coal fire, giving it a lovely flavor.

·         Pakistani Zafrani Koftay- marinated, lamb barbequed with a blend of assorted herbs and spices.

·         Bahar-E-Murg- chicken cooked with fresh spinach, coriander and other flavored herbs, making it a typical aromatic village recipe.

·         Rogan-Josh- Tender lamb cooked in oil with selective spices.

·         Paratha- Flour dough rolled and fried with butte and often prepared with cabbage or potato filling as per taste.

·         Tandoori Roti- Bread made from wheat flour kneaded together with baking powder, milk and salt. The dough is then given a shape before it is baked in coal oven.

 

Desserts:

·         Kulfi- Reduced milk with pistachio and coconut refrigerated and turned into homemade ice-cream.

·         Kheer- traditional dessert made from rice, milk, sugar, saffron and nuts.
