The National Baby Food Festival occurred just two days ago and those who missed it must be feeling really low. One of the most fun filled food festivals of the year, the National Baby Food Festival is meant for those of who are still in touch with the child within. Guess that is why it caught my attention!

This amazingly fun food festival occurs every year around mid-July in Freemont, Michigan. To me, the highlight of the festival lies in the unusual competitions held here. Apart from baby food making competition  you can also test your talent at eating and feeding baby food with your partner while your eyes are blindfolded! Yup, quiet a messy event, but who cares! Can’t imagine how those fruit purees will taste! If it is the Baby Food Cook-Off event you are interested in then you just have to make sure that you use at least one baby food ingredient in your recipe. Sounds easy, doesn’t it!

Obviously, what would a National Baby Food Festival be without babies?, So don’t forget to bring your toddlers along. They can take part in the baby crawl race and if your child is the fastest she or he might actually win a $500 life insurance policy. So if you missed it this time, there is nothing to worry, the National Baby food festival will occur next year too. Till then prepare yourself to reconnect with the child inside!
