The National Truffle Fest of North Carolina was held in the mountainous area of Asheville, North Carolina. This year the truffle fest was celebrated from March 3rd to March 6th.
This truffle fest was an inimitable experience and this fest was dedicated to the celebration and promotion the growing U.S. truffle industry.
The main focus of this truffle fest was on the black, French called "Perigord" truffle which is now produced domestically. Apart from this other truffle varieties were also present at this fest.
Celebrating truffle fest has gained more popularity because truffles have become a part of American culture and the population of truffle cultivators has also increased.
This year truffle fest was held at the Grand Bohemian Hotel which is located near the eminent Biltmore Estate. The Grand Bohemian Hotel offered a majestic facility with Old-World rustic ambiance.
This truffle fest was presented by Frankie Lemmon Foundation for the benefit of Frankie Lemmon school for preschool children.
Through events like this the Frankie Lemmon Foundation provides support and specialized education for children, aged from 3 to 6, who have developmental delays, language impairments, learning disabilities or mental retardation.
Celebrating truffle fest was very beneficial for the increasing number of chefs, consumers, and growers who were interested in this unusual and exclusive delicacy.
This event has provided a platform to gourmands, cultivators, and truffle newcomers to learn, and share the world's best kept culinary secrets. The participation of outstanding chefs and vintners in this truffle fest has contributed to this truffle fest. This festival has provided high quality of the experience.
This year truffle fest has featured several new culinary seminars, tours, and tastings and culminates with the Chef and Vintner's Gala.
The festival had begun with hors d’oeuvres by Red Stag Executive Chef Adam Hayes and wines from Asheville’s Biltmore Estate. Fine food and wine was profuse at Saturday’s Gala. Numerous tastings were offered throughout the weekend. The festival was concluded with the Chef and Vintner Gala and silent auction.

Celebrating truffle fest is now into its third year. The first truffle fest was held in Asheville, NC.
