Well, this weekend we will get a little more summer weather. It's the perfect weekend to check out Riverside Park on the far west side of manhattan along the Hudson River. At 72nd Street you can rent kayaks for a free 20 minute ride! Perfect on a hot day. There a 2 great places to eat along the water. Pier 1 Cafe at 70th Street makes an amazing Grilled Chicken Salad with a Roasted Shallot Dressing and of course a full array of wine, beer and margaritas. At 79th Street you will find The Boathouse. A much larger space and menu selections that include seafood and pasta. Next to Pier 1 Cafe you can visit The Science Barge, a delightful display of what solar and wind powered energies can do for the planet. They give free tours on the hour.
