The Michael Jackson Drink – have you tasted it? Now that is the million dollar question as the King of Pop's 53^st birth anniversary is nearing. The Michael Jackson drink is also known as the Michael Jackson Mystery drink and it comes with an interesting story. In 1997, Michael Jackson went on the HIStory world tour. At that time, he endorsed an energy drink called as the Mystery Drink. This beverage was manufactured by a German company aptly known as Mystery Drinks GmbH. This fruit flavored health drink was available in Asia, South Africa, the Middle East and parts of Europe between the years 1997 and 1999.

This energy drink does not contain anything artificial, just like how Michael Jackson preferred it to be. Incidentally, Michael Jackson also helped them to create the recipe for this drink. Udo Schaar, head of PR at Mystery Management said, ''At Michael's request, we didn't put anything artificial in it,'' It contained, 1.7 percent juice, along with Water, Carbon-dioxide, Saccharose, Citric Acid, Peach Juice Concentrate, Calcium Lactate, Fruit Tea Extract, Magnesium Carbonate, Guarana Extract, Caffeine and Flavouring. There was a Vitamin-mineral mix in it too, with Vitamin C, Niacin, Pantothenic Acid,Vitamin B6, Thiamin (VIT B1), Bio-tin, Vitamin B12, Calcium and Magnesium.

A while back a Swedish man, had auctioned an unopened can of this Mystery drink for a starting price of 50,000 USD. I'm not sure if there were any takers for this can. But you might get a used can for 10 USD in Ebay. There are some die hard Michael Jackson fans who want the Mystery Drink back and they have started a Facebook page titled, 'Bring back Michael Jackson's 'Mystery' drink!' Maybe the Mystery Management should bring back this energy drink. I wonder what made them stop production in the first place. Michael Jackson might be dead but the Michael Jackson drink must live on!
