White mice will be participating as food taster in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing- their task to protect international atheletes from food poisioning. All the food and ingredient to be prepared in Olympic kitchen will fed to mice a day before they are served to atheletes.Because mice show adverse reaction within 17 hours, while laboratary tests take much longer.Infected food can then be traced and distroyed in time.The Kitchens will also have 24-hour guards,storage will be constantly monitored and transportation will have global positioning systems.
