Watching Food Advertisements Makes You Fat !

I never knew that just watching food advertisements could make a person fat! But according to a APA health psychology study, merely watching food advertisements and not actually consuming the advertised food can also make you fat. It’s not necessary that when you see a delicious burger with crispy fries on the television set, you actually buy and it and eat it to get that bulge. You might as well eat anything else in its place to satiate your desire for food and grow fat. Health psychologists found that both adults and children increased their intake of food when exposed to food advertisements regardless of what they saw on screen.
Well, the food advertisements evoke a desire in you to eat that which is advertised but since you may not get that you’ll try to satiate yourself with whatever’s available! A pack of potato wafers will also do in place of that delicious vanilla ice cream with crunchy chocolate chips. What say?
Ryan Sager of NeuroWorld has a story on this on True Slant.
