Mellow Mushroom - Savannah, GA
The Mellow Mushroom has to be the best ‘chain’ pizza I’ve ever had. They have some of the best crust I’ve ever had. I like how they brush it with some butter/oil combination then dust it was parmesan cheese. The fine cornmeal on the bottom gives a nice texture along with adding a nice crunch to the crust. They have a pretty mellow sauce (no pun intended), and pretty good sausage (look how much coverage they got with the sausage (I hate it when it’s all clumped in one part of the pie)) - it’s the crust that gives them the edge. Whole wheat is added and I’m not sure what else... I give it a solid A
