This week saw aspiring "Masterchefs" fight it hard to impress two distinguished guests, as they welcomed die-hard-foodie –and-ace-off spinner Harbhajan Singh and Masterchef Pankaj Bhadouria, who with their master challenges completely took out the steam off them, literally . While the ninth episode saw "taste ka 20-20" with bhajji throwing special 'googly' at the contestants, Chef Pankaj came up with her master pressure challenge with shaan-e-awadhi kebab platter that featured parda nasheen kebab, zimikand ke kebab, jalebi paratha, kakori kebab.

Thrilled to be back in the MasterChef kitchen, Chef Pankaj expressed her feelings, "It was like a homecoming. It feels wonderful. It has been a year but it feels like yesterday. What a feeling it was. I met Chef Ajay and Chef Kunal as well as Chef Vikas who I had met in New York earlier. They all are like friends now. The camera crew, production guys, everyone were the same so I had a gala time."

Talking about the challenge that Chef Pankaj presented to the contestants, she further said, "As I had seen the contestants well versed with continental dishes I wanted to give them a very Indian dish. The challenge I gave them was to make three different types of kebabs for a kebab platter which is an Awadhi dish. It was very tough for them as one needs to be able to combine the flavours just right. The recipes I shared were secret ones as Lucknowi people don’t like to share their recipes as they are treasured as heirlooms. I am a teacher and I like to share so I did."

When asked for any important tip to the contestants," My advice would be to focus on your work. During the last season, we weren’t allowed phones or constant contact back home which helped us. That is what they should do I believe."

Lastly, picking her favorites from the show, she signed out, "Though everyone is really good, I think Joseph, Rajendra and Shipra are better."
