Khiladi Kumar is back to what he had done so successfully last year. Yes, Akshay Kumar has been roped in as the judge of MasterChef India 2  and will enthrall the audience with his culinary acumen once more as he gets ready to hand over the coveted title of Master Chef to this year’s winner.

The promos featuring Akshay have already been aired by Star Plus and Nitin Vaidya, the business head of “Star Business Network” has also confirmed the news. The Grand finale, slated to be held on New Year’s Day is expected to be a sizzling event with celebrities from the culinary world as well as the regular judges making their presence felt on the very first day of 2012.

The contestants, Shipra Khanna, Joseph Rozario and Salma Shazia Khan are excited beyond words as they get ready for the final showdown. As for Akshay Kumar, he’s got a tough job on his hands as well.

The second season proved to be a hit despite the absence of the movie star. Chef Vikas Khanna managed to keep the standards high with Chef Ajay and Chef Kunal providing excellent support as well.
