From the pitch to the humongous set of Masterchef India 2, this weekend sees Indian ace off spinner Harbhajan Singh in a different avatar altogether as he indulges in a unique t-20 food challenge in the mega culinary show. From what the grapevine told us, 'bhajji' seemed to have had pretty much a ball on the show. He wasn't just impressed to see the contestants perform under stress and time constraints, but also had good words to share about the three judges.

When asked about Chef Vikas Khanna, Chef Kunal Kapoor, and Chef Ajay Chopra, Harbhajan quipped, "The judges are quite famous and have been handling the show really well. They are guiding the contestants and honing their skills brilliantly. They are masters of the business of cooking and are doing a fabulous job.

The appreciation, however, doesn’t just seem to be one-sided. Talking about his interaction with Harbhajan, Chef Ajay Chopra says, "We had a great interaction while explaining the concept of the show to him. Since he is a sportsman, I assumed that he must be on a very strict diet. When I asked the same, he said he didn't diet or starve himself of anything. He is a true Punjabi and loves food. However, he doesn’t cook. But he loves to eat. Despite the fact that he has travelled across the world, he told us that he loves anything homemade.”

Chef Kunal Kapoor added, “From whatever I interacted with him, I feel he is a very humble person. He knows his roots. He knows from where he has come from and where he has reached. He will never forget that. He is very grounded which I admire. I think he is a jewel to the Indian cricket team as well as the entire country.”

Chef Vikas Khanna said, “I love the idea that though Harbhajan is so accomplished, there is a purity and innocence in him. I love the mixture. He is a person accomplished in his trade and I am in mine, so we have mutual respect for each other as people and talent. We hit it off well and bonded too. The audiences can look forward to bigger inspiration for cooking.
