Coffee in cooking

Coffee is a favorite ingredient in cooking, amongst many chefs. Coffee comes with a distinct flavor which can redefine any recipe. For example, whole coffee beans are often steeped and the resulting liquid is used in flavoring pastry creams and custards. Coffee has a strong flavor just like cumin or cinnamon. The flavors of coffee are best carried through moisture and tepid oils. So, stews, soups, tomato sauces, gravies and spice rubs are often infused with coffee. Coffee finds a great use in chocolate based foods and thus, it features greatly in desserts and chocolate confectioneries. You would find it interesting to know that coffee when used in chili recipes intensifies the essence of chili. Thus, you can now very well understand why coffee features so prominently in cooking.

Coffee in bakes

Strong black coffee is a favorite addition in the traditional mother’s recipe cookies. These cookies are simply known as coffee cookies. Coffee in drinks

Coffee strongly features in alcoholic beverages like cocktails. You can make both iced and hot drinks with coffee and both the variations taste delicious.
