The Greater Mandeville Seafood Festival started in 1978 by the Greater Mandeville Jaycees as a fund-raising event for community projects in the Mandeville area. The event is held annually on the July 4th holiday weekend and has benefitted many organizations and charity programs. It is a fun filled affair with plenty of food and entertainment. The festival will feature 20 food booths serving seafood dishes as well as alternative dishes, Arts & Craft booths, a Children's entertainment area, and live musical entertainment throughout the three day event.

Carnival Rides & Louisiana Lagniappe

The carnival was so well-recived last year we had to bring them back. Stroll along the Midway and enjoy the games and amusement rides for all ages. Louisiana Lagniappe is back with a special $5.00 Play-All-Day with 7 giant inflatables and a lot more.

Fireworks

The Northsore's Best Fireworks Display!

8:45 pm, July 4^th

Choreographed to music, the ultimate place to enjoy the fireworks show is in front of the main stage. Several people enjoy viewing from their boats on Lake Pontchartrain.

Car Show and Cruise

Daily car cruises will be held July 1st, July 2nd & July 3rd.

The car show will be held on Monday, July 4th. Gates open at 8:00 a.m., registration ends at 3:00 p.m. and awards are at 4:00 p.m.

Awards will be given for '86 or Newer Cars, Tri-5 Class, '49-'85 Classics, '49-'85 Hot Rods, Pre-'49 Classics, Pre-49 Hot Rods, Trucks, Motorcycles, Race Cars, Best Paint, Director's Choice, People's Choice, and Best of Show.

Mandeville Idol Contest

Mandeville Idol is a talent competition for ages 9 - 17 with 2 two divisions:
Jr. Division for ages 9 - 12
Sr. Division for ages 13 – 17

Food and Drink

Needless to say there will be a wide variety of food and drink available throughout the weekend. There will be over 20 Food booths serving a wide variety of fresh food.

Firecracker Fun Run

For those of you who enjoy some physical activity, there will be a one mile Fun Run and a 5K Run/Walk which will benefit “KidSense” and other local charities.
 

With so much to do and see at the Mandeville Seafood Festival, it would be a crime to pass this event up.
